catching up with cimorelli

Our six favorite sisters (and total YouTube sensations!) from California are here to talk about their new music, biggest dreams, and favorite Disney Princes! We had lots of fun catching up with Cimorelli!

Crown of Beauty: Let's talk about the new album! Up At Night! How exciting! Your fans have been waiting so long for a full length album to drop, and it's finally on the way! What can you tell us about that?

Cimorelli: Yes! Thank you so much! We are all SO excited! This is our first full length album, and we started our band in 2007! So it's been a long time in the making.

This album has a lot of personal stories and experiences. We wrote every song on it together. Some of the songs are written by just one of us, or a few of us, or all of us. There is a song that we actually wrote just for our fans that's meant to be an encouraging anthem for them to listen to when they feel hopeless or down. The album has the full spectrum of highs and lows. It's all about expressing emotion and living life as an adventure.

Crown of Beauty: What is your favorite original Cimorelli song, and why?

Christina: Renegade! I love Renegade because it's so personal to me and I feel so much passion and emotion every time I perform it. I listen to it all the time and it never loses that feeling.

Katherine: My favorite to perform is definitely You're Worth It! And to listen to in my car is Before October's Gone. That one is so relatable.

Lisa: Hearts On Fire or Up At Night, because they're both so magical!!

Amy: I'd say Someone to Chase, because it makes me cry and I relate SO deeply!

Lauren: Fall Back, because a lot of it is about my personal story and I literally never get tired of listening to it.

Dani: Probably our song, Before Octobers Gone, because I wrote a lot of it, and it always makes me cry when we perform it, haha!

Crown of Beauty: You girls have been on an amazing journey so far! What has been your favorite moment? A major highlight in your life that you will never forget?

Cimorelli: Thank you! I think the fact that we've gotten to tour so much last year was absolutely incredible and a dream come true for us. This year we're adding South America to the list, and we're also heading back to the East Coast - and that's just this spring! We're looking at even more new countries to go to. We're over the moon about getting to travel and meet our amazing fans! They've been so loyal and supportive of us, we just want to meet them in person to give them a hug and say "thank you!"

Crown of Beauty: Describe your dream life, ten years from now. What do you hope you will be doing? Do you have any dreams or goals that you want to pursue outside of music?

Christina: At 35 I want to have at least 6 kids and a beautiful home on land, and hopefully be working on some projects I'm really passionate about, and homeschooling my children.

Katherine: My dream life would be to be married to a great man, have a lot of kids, and to be an successful author with several books published. Also, I love public speaking and fundraising for causes I'm passionate about, so doing some speaking tours would be really fun, and raising money for a good cause!

Lisa: My dream life would be to have a lot of kids and an amazing husband, and we all live together on a lot of land and have a ton of pets, and we're all just really happy, haha!

Amy: My dream life would be to live on a farm and have a family, and write about politics, and be surrounded by people I love!

Lauren: Dream life 10 years from now would be to get really good at painting and drawing and literally just create art and music all the time.

Dani: By the time I'm 25, hopefully I'll have lived in multiple different states or even countries, and have gotten my cosmetology license, and maybe found a husband, hahaha!

Crown of Beauty: And lastly, a fun, random question! If you were forced to date a Disney Prince, which one would you choose, and why?

Christina: The Beast in the END of Beauty and the Beast. POST beast. Back to human. "Human Again" haha!

Katherine: Oh wow! We've never been asked that before, haha hmm... I feel like they're all the same, honestly. Like how do their personalities even differ? Maybe Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. He is really cute!

Lisa: I would date Prince Charming from Cinderella. He just always seemed cool!

Amy: Um, definitely the prince from Cinderella...because he was always riding a horse and I like horses, haha!

Lauren: Um, I would pick the "Beauty and the Beast" guy cause he is really nice and deep, haha!

Dani: If I had to date any Disney prince, I'd pick Tarzan. I don't care if he counts as a prince or not, cause he is my #1 bae.
