The Thoughts He Thinks

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil..."
-Jeremiah 29:11

The thoughts that God thinks towards us. What are those thoughts? How many thoughts run through His mind every single day, about you? 
Not thoughts about your Mom, your sister, or your youth leader. Thoughts about you. 
Not thoughts about world peace, or starving children, or presidential elections...thoughts about just you. 
How much time does God spend thinking about you? 
What does He think as you crawl out of bed and pour yourself a cup of coffee? What does He think about your dreams and desires? What does He think about your fears and failures? What is He thinking when you throw your head back and laugh with your friends, or when you feel utterly alone and cry yourself to sleep? 
What is He thinking about you right now? 

"How precious to me are your thoughts O God, if I were to count them, they would out number the grains of the sand." 
-Psalm 139:17 

God is always thinking about you. His thoughts concerning you, pile up like grains of sand on the seashore. It's unfathomable. We cannot number them. He's been thinking about you since long before you were even born. 

We should be excited about this! Why? Because the thoughts He thinks towards us are GOOD thoughts. 
Thoughts of peace, and not of evil. Thoughts full of hope, love, joy, and goodness. 

So what is He thinking about you right now? 
I can tell you what he's not thinking. 
He's not mad at you. He's not keeping a long record of your past sins and failures. He isn't disappointed. He isn't shaking his head, wondering, "When is she ever going to get this?" 
He isn't tired of you. He isn't bored with you. He isn't irritated, or exhausted by you.

You are his glorious one, in whom is all His delight!
He is joyful and excited about your life. Every single second, His love is crashing over you like a tidal wave.
Right now He is thinking, "That's my girl. I love her so much. Oh my goodness, she makes my heart smile. Is she not adorable? I love the uniqueness that I have placed inside of her. Just look at who I have created her to be! Look at her simple obedience. Look at her desire to love Me, and know Me. Oh! Did you see that?
She is reaching for Me. She is dependent on Me.
She is weak and broken, and messy and easily discouraged. She thinks she's missing it, but she's not. She's still reaching for Me! She's still seeking Me. So weak, but that means I can be SO strong in her! She is beyond beautiful. Oh how I long for her to see herself through My eyes. She makes Me so excited! She is My favorite creation. She is My Daughter, My Princess, My lovely one. I have so many great plans for her. I want to tell her about them! I want to talk to her. I want to share My secrets with her. I am ready. I am not holding anything back from her. I am waiting for her to talk to Me. I'm ready for her to seek Me. I am running after her...I want her to turn and run into Me! I love fighting for her! I love being strong and valiant on her behalf! I am the Captain of the Angel Armies, the God who breathed out the stars, and I am on her side! All of heaven is behind her righteous cause! I am for her, I am not against her. Awake daughter, to this truth! Rise up, and be all that I have created you to be! I am so beyond excited for you, I love you so much! All you have to do is ask for My Holy Spirit to reveal this love. It's always real. It's always here. I'm always thinking beautiful, amazing, spectacular thoughts of goodness about you." 

choose to believe.
align yourself with his truth.
think his thoughts,
not the enemy's thoughts. 

You might be thinking, "Well that's lovely, but I don't feel like God is actually thinking those things about me. There is so much negativity going on in my head, I have trouble believing those things to be true."

Sister, you must remember that we are not "feelers" we are "believers"! It doesn't matter how you feel. God's truth NEVER changes. Just because we don't experience the reality of His ocean of love crashing over us every second of the day, doesn't mean those waves stop coming. He is always POWERFULLY pursuing us, and speaking. He is always reaching in our direction. All we have to do is reach back and ask, "God, what are you thinking about me? I want to experience your truth for real! Reveal the truth of Your love!" 

The enemy tells us lies about God's thoughts. But the Word of God tells us the truth. The best way to align ourselves with His truth, is by immersing ourselves in His Word, and speaking it over our lives. 

"And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him...but David encouraged himself in the Lord."
-1 Samuel 30:6

We must encourage ourselves in the Lord. When we speak His Words, Sing His songs of truth, and refuse to submit to our feelings of abandonment, rejection and fear, we disarm the enemy and give the victory to God. 

"So then brothers and sisters, stand firm..." 
-2 Thessalonians 2:15 

Stand firm, and hold onto the thoughts God thinks towards you. They are Spirit and they are Truth. Nobody can ever change the reality of how God feels about you. Jesus poured out His blood on the cross, and if you have crowned Him as your Savior, you are in a blood covenant with Him. God is not a man that He would lie or change His mind. He doesn't make decisions based on wishy-washy feelings. He is always pure, always noble, always fighting for you, always rejoicing over you, always thinking the best of you, and always calling you upward into the fullness of who He's made you to be. 

"Though the mountains be shaken, and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will NOT BE SHAKEN." 
-Isaiah 54:10 

Stand firm then, in His unshakable love. The thoughts He thinks toward you truly do outnumber the sands on the seashore. And they are thoughts to prosper you and not to harm you. Thoughts to give you a hope and a future.
