Journey In The Love Of God!

For many years I never knew the love of God even though I was a Christian! This resulted in striving to feel good enough, not measuring up, feeling a failure and having fear and intimidation! So much so that even when I learnt the truth it didn't sink in. The only way to overcome this, is to meditate night and day in the word of God! Repeating positive affirmations about who you are in Christ, that you are His chosen, the apple of His eye, that He joys over you with singing and that you are highly favoured, greatly blessed and deeply loved. That He who knew no sin became my sin and I am now a child of God, crowned with His beauty, Glory and Honour. He fights for us, goes before us and will never leave us. The world (and the enemy) will continually come against this so we have to remind ourselves EVERY day of His love for us. You can know every verse in the Bible but if you don't know God loves you then you will find your Christian walk difficult. When adversity comes, this Truth will keep us strong. Knowing The Lord loves you is all the theology you need! He sees us and loves us as He loves His Son.how awesome that He gave HIMSELF! We are His treasured possession! I could actually go on and on! It's my favourite subject. He has us in the palm of His hand, He'll never let us go!
I loved listening to this Livy! I loved the analogy you make of sleeping beauty! I've written the word 'relentless' down as it jumped out at me so much!

I love how you said:
Knowing God loves us is all the theology we need! It's so true. There's so much that I just don't understand, or feel like I think I should feel, but I just cling to the fact that Jesus died to save me and He loves me. If I believe that, then nothing else really has to make sense. I'll get it all when I look in His face. <3

Thanks for sharing this! You are SO right about needing to daily confess God's Word over our lives.
Both life and death lie in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and it's so important that we speak LIFE over ourselves and the people around us!
We can hear messages like this over and over again, from our pastors, youth leaders, parents, etc...but until we actually take hold of it and apply it to our hearts, daily diving into the Word on our own, that firm foundation isn't really there.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts! I love hearing what you have to share with us younger girls. We need your wisdom!
